Using only 4 sections & 15 foils you can create a Luxury/Expensive Brunette look or even refresh a lived-in look between appointments. FAST.

With this application, toning is quick and easy at the sink OR if a more detailed color melt is desired, can be done at the chair with same sections and a mid/ends toner placement.

Tools: Tint Brush, Framcolor Color Bowl, sectioning clips, foiling comb, and foils.

Formulas

FORMULA 1 – Decolor B INFINITY+ Powder Lightener (1 scoop, 20cc/g) and Framesi Professional Activator 25 Volume (40 cc/g), in a 1:2 mix ratio (1 part lightener: 2 parts activator)

FORMULA 2 (at hairline) – Decolor B INFINITY+ Powder Lightener (1 scoop, 20cc/g) and Framesi Professional Activator 10 Volume (40 cc/g), in a 1:2 mix ratio (1 part lightener: 2 parts activator)

(These are the formulas used on our model for the Livestream. Your activator choice depends on desired level of lift, texture and density of the hair, and stylist speed. Be sure to strand test. For the mannequin in the live stream we used FRAMESI PROFESSIONAL ACTIVATOR 40 Volume.)

Sectioning

Section A: Fringe area

Section from a point at the depth of the Frontal Fringe Flat to the end of each Eyebrow creating a shallow triangle.

Section B: Left and right sides

Section from the point of the triangle created in section 1, following the head shape, all the way to the middle of the nape, on both sides, creating a point there as well.

Section C: Top

Section the crown with a line going through the center juncture connecting the two side sections.

Section D: Middle back

Draw a line from side to side at the occipital. Isolate this section, it will not be lightened.

Lightener Application

Starting in Section B (left and right sides)

Draw a diagonal line from the section line at the center juncture to the middle ear. Saturate the front and back of each section using a balayage technique creating a V shape leaving depth in the middle of the section.

In the front part of Section B, subdivide this section at the Parietal Ridge. Secure that par away.

Below parietal ridge 2 foils diagonal back placement on each side

Foil 1: Baby light weave at hair line.

Foil 2: Chunky weave with the teasing technique.

Repeat on other side.

Section A

Using the clients natural part create two sections.

Foils 1-4: Babylight placement weaving out a small section at hair line to create softness. 2 foils on each side of the section.

Foil 5: Place on a curved line combining both sections with a teasing technique.

Section C

Alternate babylights and teasing techniques to create pops of color and softness.

Toning

On our model from our IG Livestream, we used equal parts Framcolor 2001 INTENSE 8.035 + Framcolor 2001 INTENSE 10.62 with Framesi Professional Activator 10 volume, at a 1:2 mix ratio (1 part color: 2 parts activator) for permanent toning results in HALF THE TIME!
